On Sunday 7th May 2023, Little Victories went on tour to St George's Park - The website for The FA’s national football centre, home of England teams and home of FA Education.

This would be Little Victories FC's (our cerebral palsy team) first ever official football event, playing in matches vs opposing teams.

The players are their families arrived nice and early, and were awe struck at the world class facilities.

Herbie, coach Steph, young volunteer Lacey and Henry arrive in their kit proudly stood in front of the iconic Chloe Kelly picture from Wembley.

Herbie and Henry were joined in their team by Emma and Freya. Happy Henry attended, playing in another team, as he was the only player within the younger category from Team LV.

Henry and Herbie reflected on their historic day in Team LV colours:

"What an awesome day we have had!

We cannot put into words to truly describe the incredible experience of participating in our first ever Frame Football tournament other than WOW!

Lacey was our biggest supporter and an amazing young assistant support coach today, delivering a great warm up and cheering us on from the side line, massive thank you Lacey.

LVFC was established just over one year ago and to say we came second (based on a one goal difference), in our first tournament shows the dedication, commitment and progress we all have made.

We cannot stop smiling from ear to ear with pride and are extremely proud of our team.

Bring on next year’s tournament!"

Happy Henry is just as excited for next year:

"Wow what an amazing day.

I made lots of new friends with Ipswich Town FC Frame Football Suffolk who let me join their team. And thanks to my SDR surgery & my amazing physiotherapists I had enough stamina to join in skill training and all the matches.

Can’t wait to be back next year hopefully with a full juniors team from Little Victories in the Community."

Emma's mum said:

"All our players did so well at St George's Park, I keep watching all the videos and looking at the photos, such an experience and thank you so much Team LV⁩ for organising."

Team LV would like to congratulate our players on their historic day, scoring our first official goal. Thank you to coaches Emma, Shaun and Steph with special mention to young volunteer Lacey.

Thank you to our parents and spectators who behaved exceptionally, representing our club and cheering on our players.

Thank you to Steve and all the volunteers who contributed to a fantastic day.

We have Sunday 12th May 2024 in our diaries, ready to challenge for the cup next year!

Well done to every player involved.
