Little Victories in the Community is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Rusby Dance and Fitness (RDFC) to bring disability dance sessions to Barton, starting this summer.

Designed to be fully inclusive, these weekly sessions aim to provide a safe, joyful, and empowering space for adults with disabilities or additional needs to express themselves through dance.
The sessions will launch on Friday 6th June at 12pm, running for one hour every week for 12 weeks. The first session is completely free, with following sessions priced at just £3 each, payable on arrival.
These pan-disability sessions are open to all adults with additional needs, regardless of ability level or experience. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or simply want to move to music and connect with others, this is your space.
Beth from RDFC shared her excitement:
“RDFC are over the moon to be partnering with Little Victories in the Community to deliver inclusive dance sessions for adults. We are passionate about spreading the love and joy of dance while providing a safe space to encourage self-confidence, socialisation and inclusion.
We cannot wait to meet all attendees to start a very special dance journey with you all.”
Dance is more than movement, it's a powerful form of communication, creativity, and connection.
Studies have shown that dance can improve physical coordination, support mental health, and enhance emotional well-being. For individuals with disabilities or additional needs, it offers a unique way to build self-esteem, foster friendships, and experience the joy of expression in a non-judgmental, encouraging environment.
Sophie from Little Victories added:
“This project is so close to our hearts. We believe everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of movement and community. This isn’t just a dance session, it’s a place to be yourself, to laugh, move, and feel empowered.
We’d love the community to help spread the word. Tell your friends, carers, and support networks. These sessions are much needed, and together we can make sure no one misses out.”

The organisers encourage everyone to share this initiative widely.
Whether you're attending yourself, know someone who might benefit, or simply support inclusive community projects, your voice can help bring people together and ensure no one feels left out.
